Quality Assurance
Arran Smoked Products use only the finest ingredients in the manufacture of its products. The preparation, curing, smoking and packing are undertaken with the care and attention to detail that only a small, dedicated smokery can achieve.
Making a Purchase
Orders may be placed either via the website, in which case a confirmatory email will be sent, or by telephone, fax or post. Credit card payments are taken via a secure server for your protection, and we do not hold the details anywhere within our systems once the transaction is finalised.
Stock and Availability
On rare occasions we may not have a particular item in stock, in which case we will contact you and you will have the option to cancel or amend your order. In the case of the Gift Packs, should we be unable to obtain a particular product as advertised, we reserve the right to substitute a similar item of equal or greater value.
Shipping and Delivery
We endeavour to despatch orders within 48 hours of the order being received. Smaller packages are send by first class post, for heavier items we use a reputable express carrier. All orders are packed with freezer gel packs to maintain a low temperature during transit, all except small packages being sent in sealed polystyrene containers. We make no postage or delivery charge for orders delivered to destinations within mainland Britain. A surcharge is payable for deliveries to the Channel Isles, the Isle of Man, Northern Ireland, and Europe. The amount depends on the weight of the parcel, and can be ascertained by enquiring when placing the order. In order to avoid long periods in transit, we do not despatch on Fridays, and for heavier packages we prefer to avoid Thursdays.
Complaints
Because of the perishable nature of the product, Arran Smoked Products does not accept returns. Refunds are at the discretion of the company. However if for any reason you are not completely satisfied with the product or the service you have received, please do not hesitate to contact the Smokehouse, where your complaint will be relayed directly to the proprietor, Tim James.
Privacy
None of the information you provide is passed to third parties. The only information we collect about you is that required to process your order efficiently and that is lawful in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. |
